A loft conversion is a type of home renovation or remodeling project that transformes the existing attic or loft space into a functional living area.
1. Increased Living Space:
Loft conversions provide additional living space within the existing footprint of the home, making them a cost-effective way to expand a house without the need for a full-scale extension.
2. Planning Permission:
In many cases, loft conversions can be carried out under permitted development rights, reducing the need for lengthy and expensive planning permission processes.
3. Adding Value:
A well-executed loft conversion could increase the market value of the property, potentially making it more attractive to future buyers.
4. Customisation:
As the end user, you can personalise the design and use of the loft space to suit your specific needs and preferences. Common uses include bedrooms, home offices, playrooms and guest rooms, and with the correct design, loft conversions can bring in natural light and improve the overall ambiance with skylights, or dormer extensions
5. Cost-Effective: Compared to other forms of home extensions, loft conversions tend to be more cost-effective because they utilize existing space and typically involve less disruption to the rest of the house.
An Engineer will survey the existing loft space and discuss the possible options with you.
Once the plan has been confirmed, we will complete the Structural design and drawings necessary for your appointed Builder to work from.
The Structural calculations will be provided in a Structural Calculations pack for submission to Building Control for approval.
